Vitamin D3 is produced naturally by the body itself when it is exposed to direct sunlight. However, the amount of vitamin D3 synthesized depends on a number of factors (e.g. season, place, time, age, amount of smog in the air, skin type).
Vitamin D3 is also found in its natural form in the diet, in the form of vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) and vitamin D3 (colecalciferol), but it can also be taken in the form of a nutritional supplement. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of muscles and the immune system, to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, as well as to the normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.
Recommended dosage:
